Hey Guys, Just wondering how you guys shave your reeds, and how you like them shaved. I personally run two goose calls in the field, The reed in my Executioner is shaved a little stiff, but tuned a little light. On the other hand, my Maple Slipknot reed is shaved a little more, but tuned a bit heavier. The reason I do this is to maintain the "ring" of the acrylic Executioner without sacrificing too much speed, and to maintain the "rasp" of my Slipknot while also maintaining depth. Just curious if anyone does something like this, or if you shave all reeds on your calls the same and tune them the same. | |
