Yesterday I went out to do a little scouting and found a field holding about 700 geese, but unfortunatly couldn't get permission so I decided to go to the field next to it and recieved permission to hunt. This field was a chisled bean field. It had basically no food in it so not the ideal spot. I was still optomistic cause we were supposed to get 4 inches of snow and this would cover up our bare field and also throw the geese off a bit. That morning we set up a large spread of about 10 dzn decoys and was ready at 7:30. The geese have been flying in this area between 8 and 9 so we were good there. Well 10 rolls around and hadn't heard a honk finally about 10:30 comes and here comes a group of 10. Killed 4 out of that group and shortly after we got another group and killed 2 more for a 3 man limit. It was a fun hunt with it snowing so hard you had a hard time seeing the geese all you could do is hear them.
