I went out this last weekend with my dad and grilfriend and we went salmon fishing on the rouge river, the salmon are just starting to run and few were caught where we were at, but the 3 of us managed to catch and land about 10 fish and only kept 4.. does anyone else go out salmon fishing on here?

I go every once and awhile but haven't gone in a year or two. I don't think I'll make it out this year either since I'm moving to Idaho.

Well, I have been out fishing for the past 5 days on the Rouge river, and i have hooked into many salmon, and only had 2 keepers out of 18 hooked 8 broke of and 6 were foul hooked and i had 2 wilds that I had to turn lose, when i figure out how to upload the pictures from my phone I will post them up for everyone to see

Well, I dont get up to see family much in upstate NY, but when i used to live up there, i remember fishing the oswego river by the water plant or whatever that spilled water into the river. I dont really remember but when i caught my first salmon it was in 4 feet of freezing water and my boots where about a foot tall, so you can guess how that went. My first salmon was 38 inches and i couldnt have been more proud. It was just about white because they were spawning and he was preety beat up. I know this doesnt really have to do with the thread, but i thought id share.

no it has a lot to do with the thread, its just a general topic about salmon fishing and i like hearing stories of people out catching them past or present
