Location:Buffalo, MN
Time:3:00PM-4:30PM
Wind:N 20 MPH
Weather:-8 standing, -26 wind factor
Woke up on a frigid Friday morning skeptical we even had geese left in
the area. Went out for a quick drive as I had the day off, and Spotted an
opening on a deep local lake with about 3,000 geese sitting in it.
I had previous permission to hunt cut corn directly adjacent to the field
but decided to ask again to be sure. "No problem" was the answer, and I knew
I was in the money. This was literally the "X." Had geese all over.
Didn't want to shoot into big groups, so elected to take solos and doubles.
Had our limit in about an hour, which was good because that was about all of
the cold I could take!!

Im sure being out in that cold is something you won't forget quickly. Its a long way away but we may have to see what we can do. I mostly hunt ducks but if your ever down this way I could put you on geese. We will see what happens.

That's rough, I'm sure the wind didn't help too much either. Good work on sticking it out for the limits!
